The AI era is here, and it may become one of the most important moments for women in modern history.

In this episode, I’m talking about why this moment matters so much, why so many women feel exhausted and stuck right now, and why the future of work, money, leadership, and opportunity is changing faster than most of us are ready for.

This is not about fear. It is about preparation.

Women do not need to be “fixed.” Women need access to health, knowledge, capital, leadership, ownership, and support systems that help them fully rise.

In this episode, I share why the next era belongs to the women who are willing to rebuild their foundation, reclaim their power, and step into leadership before the world changes without them.

In this episode, I talk about:

• Why the AI era could reshape women’s economic power
• Why so many women feel stuck in functional freeze
• Why entrepreneurship may become one of the greatest paths to freedom
• Why women need ownership, not just opportunity
• Why health, energy, and confidence are the foundation for rising
• Why this moment is not just about surviving change, but helping shape it

Welcome And Article Setup

Nika Lawrie

Hey and welcome back to This Is How We Rise. I, of course, am your host, Nika Lori. And as always, I'm so grateful to have you join me today. Today I want to do something a little bit different. I wrote an article for my Substack account a couple weeks ago, and I wanted to actually just read it with you because I think it gives you a really good background as to why I want to build this launch pad for women and really help us rise in the AI era. I hope you appreciate it and enjoy. The title is called This Is How We Rise: Why the AI Era is the most important moment for women in modern history. I am scared. I am scared of the humanity-shattering changes the AI era may bring. I am scared of my daughter growing up in a world that is so warm that we may have to move north in search of water. I am scared of the geopolitical

Naming The Fear And Stakes

instability and the shortened attention spans that keep us trapped in headlines instead of creating the real change needed to stop us from reliving history with another pointless war that will take an entire generation to rebuild from. I fear the exhaustion I feel in my body, the mental health load that seems to creep in quietly and create chaos in my physical health. I am scared, and I know you are too. At this time, I hold an unshakable belief that if we can help women rise into leadership and ownership during this unmatched moment in technological revolution, the AI era, it can completely shift the direction of women's standing across the planet. This is our moment to rise. But first, we must overcome the fear and grab this once in a millennia opportunity by the ovaries. I do not think of myself as a feminist. I am not opposed to the moment. In fact, I feel an immense amount of gratitude for the brave women before me who fought for the my right to simply write this article, let alone have the audacity to believe that I am meant

Access Over Equality

Nika Lawrie

for something more. Instead, I think of myself as a woman ready to help women rise, not just to equality, but into a world where opportunity simply exists for anyone, regardless of gender. A world where gender no longer determines access to power, capital, or influence. I believe the idea of fighting for equality can unintentionally send the message that there is a gap in ability that needs to be fixed. Women were never inherently less capable. The real issue has always been access. Access to power, access to opportunity, access to capital, access to systems. Women do not need to be made equal. Women need unrestricted access to opportunity, capital, health, knowledge, and leadership. The goal is not equality. The goal is full participation and full access. This framing changes everything. It shifts the conversation away from fighting opponents and towards building systems. Women do not need to defeat men to succeed. Men do not need to lose for women to win. Women simply need access to the same opportunities, resources, and support systems that men have historically had. When barriers disappear, abilities and ambition naturally determine the outcomes. This is less about fighting and more about opening doors. It is about reframing feminism from fighting for equality to building systems that create opportunity for everyone. This shift in thinking has never been more important than it will be in the next five years. The AI era is already underway and it will become one of the largest economic revolutions in history. It will likely displace 20 to 40%

of the global workforce. Research already suggests that women are disproportionately vulnerable to this shift because many of the roles exposed to automation are currently held by women. This means we have a very small window of time, a window to upskill millions of women, a window to move women into leadership, ownership, and decision-making roles, so they do not simply survive this transition, but they shape it. We cannot afford to miss this opportunity. But in order to take full advantage of this moment, we have to meet women where they are right now. And the truth is that millions of women are currently stuck in what I call functional freeze. They are showing up in their day-to-day lives. They are working, parenting,

managing households, keeping everything running. But internally, they are exhausted, overstimulated, burnt out, depressed, frustrated, and frankly, many of them feel like shit. They are treading water, hoping someone will throw them a life jacket that never seems to come. Many women also carry a quiet anger. We were told the feminists of the 1960s changed the world so women could have freedom, but instead, many women feel like they've inherited two full-time roles. The stay-at-home expectations of the 1950s and the breadwinner expectations of the 2020s. This tension is one of the reasons movements like Tradwives and Child Free by Choice have gained traction over the past few years. Women are looking at the reality of modern life and deciding that doing both motherhood and career at the same time simply feels impossible. So they choose one path or another. For those who still want both, like me, I believe there must be a better way to design this life. But because the current system is not built to support women, having both a thriving career and a thriving family without crashing out, many women are choosing the third option, entrepreneurship. Women are starting businesses in record numbers. But we are quickly discovering that the doors of opportunity are not as open to us as they are for many of our male counterparts, which brings us to the real opportunity in front of us. If the system does not work for women, then women must build a new system. A system designed for health, flexibility, ownership, financial security, connection, and opportunity. Health that becomes the foundation of everything

Building New Systems For Women

else we build. Flexibility that allows women to have both a fulfilling career and a beautiful family. Ownership that allows women to build wealth, power, and influence. Financial security, which is still the single greatest predictor of safety and independence for women. Connection that creates the networks, friendships, and opportunities that allow women to thrive together instead of struggling alone. If we build this ecosystem correctly, the impact can be extraordinary. The AI era may be one of the last great windows of opportunity to rapidly reshape economic power. Now may be our chance to build the ecosystem that launches women into what I jokingly call the she verse. Instead of the manosphere, we have the she verse, as in the she universe. I do not know exactly how I'm going to build it. I do not know exactly who I will build it with, but I do know this. The moment is here, and this is how we rise.
